Covid-19 update: Client advice on what to do during the Coronavirus crisis
When we're closed or when you can't get to the surgery
Unlike many other surgeries we believe that a home visiting service is an important feature of veterinary life; many animals do not travel well and get very stressed. Some people have health or transport problems that make attending a surgery impossible or just maybe its too difficult to travel with the pet and young children.
We can visit you and carry out routine consultations; if your pet needs more specialized treatment then he may need to be taken to the veterinary Surgery. Appointments for routine home visits need to be booked at least 48 hours in advance and are usually not possible during consulting hours (8:30am - 10:30am and 4:30pm - 6:30pm) or on Saturday. In cases of emergency, we will endeavour to reach you as soon as possible.
Our out-of-hours partners are Northside Emergency Veterinary Clinic, who offer our clients a friendly, highly trained and caring team who are available during the night, at weekends and Public Holidays. Their centre is at Aldridge Road Great Barr B44 8PE.
If your pet needs emergency care, please call your usual surgery. If it is ‘out of hours’, our answering machine message will direct you to call Northside Emergency Veterinary Clinic on 0121 360 6010. They will make arrangements with you so that your pet can be seen.
